Every year, either I, he, or we go out and pick a new Hallmark Ornament to adorn our fake Christmas tree. The goal is to find one that summarizes or epitomizes what happened in the past year. See last year’s.
This year was easy. We welcomed Kyler to become a family of three.
I hope your Christmases are great so far! Kyler is obviously too young to really appreciate the fact that he’s getting spoiled by his family, but taking these holiday photos of him for our Christmas card made it fun (most of the time) for me.
Anything with me in it was a taken with the tripod, which essentially means it took 50 shots to get a ‘good’ one. The pictures turned out great, but I won’t even try to fool you. He hated the Santa Hat and got tired of tummy time… and looking at the bottom of the tree… and being held. I am thankful for continuos shooting mode.
Obviously, as good parents, the crying photo made it to the 2012 Christmas card. We left room on the back for personalized notes.
We’re fans of personal notes. It takes time, but there’s something nice about receiving a note that you know someone took time out to write. I guess we’re old school sometimes. Happy holidays, Blogosphere!
