Why do you need pillows for a wedding? Good question. We did not have many venue choices. Rephrase: modern, great-looking venue choices. Hotel décor locally is not quite big, beautiful city. Since we rented couches to dress up the space, we needed some throw pillows to accent. The cocktail lounge is hot pink, black and white. I found BEAUTIFUL fuchsia/hot pink brocade fabric from JoAnn’s which fit our Asian Zen Lounge theme.
Tools:
- Fabric of choice from JoAnn Fabrics
- Sharp scissors
- Fabric pins
- Thread
- Sewing Machine
- Pillow stuffing
Making pillows is one of the easiest things you can do to dress up any space. All you need is a long rectangular piece of fabric to fold in half and sew inside-out. It can be square, rectangle, whatever. I won’t go into detail on this one because it’s THAT easy.
I made the pillows about 14" x 14" squares and sewed them.

This needs to be updated with more pictures. Sorry… I’m slow.
