Our parents welcomed the guests (Asian tradition). Then, the best man and maid of honor made toasts after the first soup course. Then, after we made several rounds around the room, our brother and sister toasted us to welcome us into each family.

Parents first!

We ate a course and they kept the drinks coming. Yummy drinks.

Best Man’s turn.

Maid of Honor’s turn.

We took a break and went table to table to greet the guests. In a Chinese/Vietnamese wedding, this is traditionally where the oldest person at the table toasts the bride and groom and hands them all of the gifts with well wishes. The menu was timed pretty well for us to get through all of the guests.

Right before the last course, Kevin took the stage. His toast was half in Vietnamese and half in English.

Lexi wrapped it up, telling the groom not to mess with our family! She doesn’t mess around either!

Thank you so much for the kind and funny words!
